Soft, elegant bridal editorial shoot

This was definitely a new style of shoot for me, but when digital creator and model Jess Whitney suggested doing a bridal editorial shoot together—given that she is also getting married this year!—I thought why not. I connected her with bridal designer Liz, founder of Elizabeth Grace Couture, and not only are her dresses now featured in this shoot, but she will also be designing Jess’s gown for her big day.

As it was going to be my first time shooting bridal, I had to have a good think about what I wanted the visuals to feel like. A bit more undone, mysterious and moody was what I mood-boarded and wanted to go for.

I definitely found it a good challenge, and it was delightful to capture the beautiful designs and delicate materials, combine that with Jess’ mood and movement. I also played around with some curtain drapery set design, which didn’t quite go how I envisioned due to time constraints BUT I hope to build on this for future shoots!
