Favourite Photo Studios to Rent in Singapore
If you’ve landed on this article, chances are you’re a brand or creative on the hunt for a photo studio in Singapore. As both a photographer and brand owner, I’ve been there—and found it surprisingly hard to get real reviews and clear info about what different studios actually offer.
Since I’m always getting asked for recommendations, I figured it was time to put everything I know in one place. This is a round-up of my favourite studios across the island—most I’ve shot in personally, others come highly recommended by fellow creatives I trust. Whether you’re after vibey natural light or a strobe light setup, I’ve included notes on what each space is best for.
Nothing here is sponsored—just real suggestions from someone who’s spent the last 7 years behind the camera, helping brands bring their vision to life. I’m a big believer in making the creative industries feel less gatekeep-y, especially for emerging brands and photographers. I hope you find this guide genuinely helpful and if you do, please share it around!
Mount Studio | 45 Jalan Pemimpin, #07-04, 577197
Ideal for: E-commerce and portrait shoots
Price: from $35 per hour
Mount Studio is my go-to spot for e-commerce shoots. With three separate studio spaces, it’s ideal for any shoots requiring flash photography or strobe lighting. They also have the best range of coloured backdrops I’ve seen in Singapore—nearly 30 paper options, plus cloth muslin ones—and a decent selection of props too.
One of the studios features a built-in cyclorama, which is perfect for group shots or when you need a clean white e-commerce background without setting up a backdrop. It also works well for shoots where the model needs to move around more freely. The staff have always been super helpful, and I’ve got lots of fond memories shooting here—it’s where I honed many of my technical photography skills.
If you’re planning a natural light shoot, though, I wouldn’t recommend Mount. For that, check out some of the alternatives listed below!
Headspace Studio | 59 Jalan Pemimpin, #04-04B, 577218
Ideal for: Natural light photography or videography and beige tones
Price: from $70 per hour
This is a lovely, petite studio decorated in neutral tones with big windows—great for natural light or video content shoots with a minimalist aesthetic. On a clear day, the best light is in the mornings between 9am and 12pm. I’ve shot here several times, including this fashion editorial, a skincare shoot, and influencer portraits.
They do offer strobe lighting for hire. While there aren’t many props, the furnishings they have are very tasteful. That said, if you need anything specific, I’d recommend bringing your own. In case it gets overcast, consider renting strobe lights from them or bringing your own continuous lighting if you’re shooting video.
PS: Headspace is also located on Jalan Pemimpin (Marymount), in a building just behind Mount Studio. You could do an e-commerce shoot in Mount, and then pop over to Headspace for a natural light lifestyle shoot!
Vico Studio | 17 Jalan Mesin, #04-01, 368816
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography or e-commerce
Price: from $70 per hour
Located in Tai Seng, Vico Studio offers three spaces to suit different shoot needs. I’ve used both Studio 1—filled with beautiful natural light (perfect for this Singapore-based jewellery brand!)—and Studio 2 for a beauty and product shoot. Studio 3 is ideal for e-commerce or anything requiring a backdrop and strobe lighting.
They’ve got a decent variety of backdrops and props too. Just a heads up: like many studios in Singapore, the owners aren’t on-site, but they’re responsive on WhatsApp if you need help or can’t locate something.
Project 19 Studio | 1 Tannery Road #09-02, 347719
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography and wabi-sabi vibes
Price: from $80, minimum 2 hour + $20 cleaning fee
This 680-square-foot studio has some of the best natural light in Singapore. You’ll get beautiful sun-drenched shots either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The built-in furnishings suit a minimalist, wabi-sabi aesthetic—great if that’s the vibe you’re going for. I’ve used this space for both fashion and video content shoots. They also offer a few backdrop colour options (white, black and beige) if you’re shooting e-commerce or portraits.
Cloud Studio | 47 Kallang Pudding Road, #09-08, 349318
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography or e-commerce
Price: from $75 per hour
This is a really spacious studio, making it ideal if you’ve got a bigger crew on set. It features a living room-style setup with rattan furniture, warm-toned décor, and plenty of props, alongside a motorised backdrop for e-commerce. If you’re a fashion or product-based brand looking to capture both clean e-com shots and lifestyle content in the same space, this spot is a great option. I’ve used it for e-commerce, lifestyle shoots, and even a model casting. A versatile, multi-use space!
Our Studio Space | 28 Senang Crescent, #04-08, 416601
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography and e-commerce shoots
Price: from $65 per hour
Another studio that offers space for both lifestyle and e-commerce shoots, this duplex location is thoughtfully styled with tasteful décor and props that are refreshed twice a year. It features a cyclorama, making it easy to capture clean white background e-com shots. I’ve shot both e-commerce and lifestyle campaigns here for clients.
The second level of this studio is available at an additional cost, and I’d say it’s worth it if you’re looking for more variety in your backgrounds—just note that the upstairs corridor is quite narrow to shoot in, so plan accordingly!
The Kyt Studio | 3 Gambas Crescent, #08-07, 757041
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography or e-commerce shoots
Price: from $50 per hour
The Kyt Studio is a great option if you’re after a large, versatile space that can flex to suit just about any shoot. With 1,690 square feet of room to play with, it’s a true blank canvas—think pristine white walls, loads of natural light, and solid soundproofing. It’s fully kitted out with lighting, stands, backdrops and all the grip bits you might need for photography or video. You can rent it by the hour or for a full day, and I think rates are really reasonable for the space and equipment included. Apparently, there’s a great hawker centre downstairs too for crew lunches!
Fallow and Light | 1 Syed Alwi Road, #05-01A Song Lin Building, 207628
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography or e-commerce shoots
Price: from $70 per hour
This cosy, well-equipped studio is ideal for small to medium-sized shoots, whether photo or video. Conveniently located near three MRT stations (Jalan Besar, Nicoll Highway and Lavender), it’s easy to get to and has a great balance of functionality and warmth. You’ll find a range of shooting options here—from a cyclorama wall and a textured rock backdrop to a limewash concrete finish or plain coloured paper backdrops.
You can shoot with strobes, continuous lights or natural light depending on your needs, and the ceiling is even painted to help bounce light for more even top-down lighting. The rental rate includes almost everything you’d need—Profoto strobes, Jinbei LEDs, modifiers, and a wide selection of backdrops—with hidden extra fees.
Studio 2020 | 61 Ubi Ave 1, #06-15 UB Point, 408941
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography or e-commerce shoots
Price: from $70 per hour
Studio 2020 is a solid pick if you’re a brand or creative team looking for a well-equipped space to bring your vision to life. Located in a newer light industrial building, the studio has a spacious private shooting area with high ceilings and great natural light.
There’s also a seamless cyclorama wall if you’re after clean e-commerce or campaign shots, and they’re kitted out with professional lighting gear from Profoto and Aputure. Whether you’re shooting a lookbook, product stills or video content, it’s a reliable, versatile setup that covers all the bases.
Studio Three Sixteen | 110 Lorong 23 Geylang, #07-01, 388410
Ideal for: Natural light photography, videography, portrait or e-commerce shoots
Price: from $60 per hour
This large studio space is ideal for productions that need a bit more room—or simply for the gorgeous natural light. It’s well-equipped with lighting and gear, though a little light on props, so I’d recommend bringing your own if you have something specific in mind. I shot here recently and found the staff super friendly and accommodating, which always makes a difference on set. The big white wall also makes it a great spot to set up for e-commerce, portraits or product shots with ease.
