A dreamy villa shoot for Summery the Label
This is my third time shooting for Summery the Label, an independent brand creating timeless, versatile silhouettes from breathable linen fabric.
When the brand’s founder, Miranda, shared the inspiration for her next collection—the Mediterranean—I knew I had to create a shoot that bottled up that feeling of summer: easy, effortless and sun-kissed. Inspired by the region’s relaxed spirit, we brought the concept to life a little closer to home, choosing a villa in Bali to channel that laid-back sense of luxury.
We chose Plume Villa as our shoot location for its clean, neutral walls and sun-drenched poolside. It was the perfect blank canvas to capture some interesting angles and to make the colour of the clothes pop.
The La Palma collection showcases pieces made from 100% linen—a material I love for its breathability, movement and texture that just gets better with wear (perhaps you can tell, I own a few Summery pieces!) The colour palette centered around a fresh lemon yellow, navy and sky blue, accented with crisp whites.
For styling, we went with some simple accessories to add texture—jewellery from Pyar (from my personal collection) and a big, woven hat—and the team from Saltwater Sandals generously loaned us their footwear which paired perfectly with the styles.
Above all, I wanted these visuals to reflect how Summery’s clothes feel—soft yet structured. Through both stills and motion, we captured both the gentle sway of the fabric, the way linen catches the light, and the quiet confidence that comes from wearing something that is better for your skin and for the planet.
Here are my favourite images from the shoot—I hope you love them as much as I did shooting them!
